ROLE OF CLOUDS IN THE BALANCE
OF THE ENERGY ON EARTH

Observation of the role of clouds in the energy balance of the Earth.

The average annual radiation penetrating into the upper layer of the atmosphere, according to the information received by satellite under the ERBE (Earth Radiation Budget Experiment) of the NASA experimental project.

-Albedo : the reflected solar flux (in %)
-Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) : radiation of large wavelengths (infrared) emitted by the Earth (in W/m2).
-Shortwave radiation : radiation of short wavelength (UV)
-Net Radiation Balance : the radiative balance so the difference between the absorbed flux and the flux emitted by the Earth (in W/m2).
